About the course

Learn more about Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), how to perform this fertility procedure, and ways to integrate this service, as well as comprehensive fertility counseling into your practice.

  • This is a queer-centered course, and is affirming of all families and solo parents.

  • Expert instructor, Ray Rachlin, has adapted this curriculum from their very impactful course for midwives, to make it applicable to all clinicians.

  • Fertility care and cycle tracking will be explained in detail to support your preparedness to counsel patients.

  • Preconception care will be covered in addition to the IUI procedure, itself.

  • Topics such at LGBTQ+ fertility, trans care, infertility care, and professional sustainability will be woven throughout the course.

Instructor

Ray Rachlin

Ray Rachlin LM, CPM (she/they) is a midwife, author, queer fertility expert and educator based in Philadelphia. Ray has been providing queer centered fertility care and IUI, community midwifery care, and provider education through their practice Refuge Midwifery since 2017. Ray’s work as a midwife and educator led to becoming an author, and in 2023, her groundbreaking how-to family building guide Babymaking For Everybody co-authored with midwife Marea Goodman, was published. Ray's work has been featured in Vogue, Cosmo, Evidenced Based Birth, Motherly, and Mombian.
