FAQ

  • Who can attend IUI for Midwives?

IUI for midwives is designed for all types of midwives, OB/GYNs, family doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who want to help LGBTQ+ and solo parents grow their families through unmedicated Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) in a home or office setting. Students, doulas, acupuncturists, therapists, and all kinds of birthworkers and non-clinical caregivers who want to deepen their understanding of LGBTQ centered fertility care are welcome to attend.

  • What is covered in the class?

IUI for Midwives will teach participants everything they need to know to provide LGBTQ centered fertility care outside of a reproductive endocrinology clinic, from patient education, how to perform IUI, and ways to integrate this service into your clinical practice.

  • I can't attend all of the online sessions, is that okay?

Yes! All of the classes will be recorded and available for 9 months after the class. You do not need to attend any sessions live in order to participate in this class, or to earn CEUs. Additionally, Ray will be offering two open zoom sessions on November 17th from 12-1pm EST and 12/2 from 11-12pm EST to answer questions from class participants as they embark on adding IUI services to their practice

  • What if I can't make either of the skills workshops?

That’s ok! The skills day is hands-on practice of IUI procedure. Many clinical providers who perform paps or IUD insertions on the regular will get the hang of IUI quickly - the sperm handling will probably be the biggest part of the learning curve. If the Philly or NYC practice days are too far, you can bring Ray to your area for a skills practice day. Email [email protected] to learn more!

  • Do you offer group discounts?

Yes! Email [email protected] to discuss more

  • Not a question... but IUI for Midwives is a big investment!

Yes, and, IUI for Midwives is an investment that you will see full return on after your first two IUI clients - we believe in you! Additionally the class is pending 20 CEU from ACNM, which - whether or not ACNM CEUs are applicable for you, represents a lot of continuing education.
